I Cannot Respect Your Opinion.

Certain opinions, even ones I don’t agree with, I can respect. People have the best intentions, sometimes, but it has also been said that the worst things imaginable have been done with the best intentions. Like John Hammond envisioning a theme park full of dinosaurs, which then eat half of the cast by the end of the film. See, best intentions for pioneering scientific discovery, wanting Jurassic Park available to everyone in the world, but he didn’t know when to quit.

It breaks my heart when good people with good ideas give up on them. Good people who can change the world for the better. And it breaks my heart when bad people with bad ideas are protected by the Constitution. This is due in part by making sure we don’t judge the opinions that are morally and ethically right. Freedom of speech is important to this country. But terrorism is not. Organizations like the Ku Klux Klan, for example, have gotten away with their hatred of people for far too long. I don’t respect them, what they stand for, or what comes out of their mouths. Groups like the Westboro Baptist Church who dared trying to picket the funerals of the victims of the Newtown shooting, because they believe this violence was brought on us by a wrathful God who disapproves of homosexuality, are people I cannot respect.

Just give up already. We get it, you think America should be all white, all “straight”, all Christian, all the time. Well you are stupid for believing that. You are stupid because you can’t look at the world and see that you are a part of it. The reality is your white skin came second, it evolved from the blacks you hate. Quit whining about things you cannot and should not change, because your vision of the world is unrealistic, implausible and once again, stupid. Nothing that the Ku Klux Klan says is good or ethical and it is about time you give up, grow up, and accept humans as they are.

Sure, this can be said at any opinion. And even though I think it is pretty clear, I’m going to say it again: This should only count for opinions I cannot respect, such as the opinions highlights in the second and third paragraphs.
