One of about a thousand things that typically grabs my ass these days, is when people don’t have the balls, or simply couldn’t care less, to call things for what they are.
When a man believes that being a man makes him above women and other men, that’s not “toxic masculinity”. That’s sexism.
When a woman says that all men are stupid, or tries to control how other women think and feel, that’s not “reverse sexism”. That’s sexism.
Calling sexist behavior anything other than sexist, downplays the severity of it. Downplays the effect that sexism leaves on all those who participate willingly or unwillingly in it. Furthermore, it disrespects our intelligence. I don’t need cutesy-poo words to identify sexism. Sexism is glaringly obvious in most everyday-life situations and I’m fairly certain no one else needs extra identifiers in order to know when it is happening to them or around them.
